We are inviting you to spend an unforgettable day with us in beautiful Lviv.
Lviv is a city in western Ukraine close to the border with Poland. It’s a city with architecture resembling Western Europe, earning it the name the “Little Paris” of East Europe. Explore West Ukraine with our Lviv tour guide. We will start you in the city centre where you can view historical Ukrainian architecture, learn about the city’s history and try the local food.
Ancient Cafe
We will start the day by having a cup of true aromatic Lviv coffee at this ancient café.
Shevchenkivsky Hai (Shevchenko Valley)
The Museum, also known as Shevchenkivsky Hai (Shevchenko Valley), is probably the best place for relaxation, education and entertainment in Lviv. In a couple of hours we will learn more about lifestyle of Ukrainian villagers through exploring over a 100 of wooden village houses, churches and everyday household items preserved in their original look, take a quiet walk in park alleys covering 84 hectars of woods, and sit down for a fun picnic with your friends. No cafes are available at the park, so even if you plan no picnic, make sure to bring your own snacks.
Lviv History Museum “Arsenal”
Unquestionably, the biggest attraction for any male traveler in Lviv! Museum boasts thousands of weaponry items from more than 30 countries and as old as 10th century. Knives, daggers, swords, sabers, épées, yatagans, axes, halberds, maces, czekans, pernaches, and many other strange names of cold, fire and defensive weapons that will keep your interest throughout all the exhibit. The collection’s highlight is Eastern type sword from the 17th century with double blade, the so-called “Zulfakar”.
Lunch at Arsenal
Like so many restaurants and bars in Lviv, the Arsenal is a cool and quirky building under a formal arsenal! This is a really unique and fun dining experience. No cutlery, you eat as nature intended and the ribs themselves are absolutely out of this world delicious. There are also yummy side dishes. All over the place there are little quirky sinks to wash your hands and the beer is great too.
**My recommendation is going for the perfect honey grilled pork ribs. It’s possible to change place according to client’s food preferences.
Bernardine Church
The Bernardine church and monastery in Lviv is located in the city’s Old Town, south of the market square. The monastery along with the Roman Catholic church of St. Andrew, today the Greek Catholic church of St. Andrew, now belong the Order of St. Basil the Great.
Potocki Palace
Wherever you go in Lviv, you are inevitably astonished by its inimitable and varied architecture. However, the Potocki Palace, hiding behind open-worked forged fence on one of the streets that radiate from the main city artery, Svobody Avenue, stands out against the background of majestic ancient buildings, huddling in the downtown. Its elegant building, whose luxurious forms are reminiscent of French Renaissance castles, is rightly considered to be one of the most interesting and beautiful monuments of architecture in Lviv.
Svobody Avenue (Freedom street)
Svobody Avenue is the city main street combining functions of the business and cultural center. It is Lviv’s second most important historical spot after the Rynok Square. The avenue owes its status of one of the most beautiful and elegant streets in the city to its splendid architecture, which harmonically combines traits of various historical styles. Elegant ancient houses, framing it from both sides, are Svobody Avenue’s main adornment and create its unique atmosphere.
